There are currently 9 teams based in major Canadian cities in 6 territories (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan) with the Ottawa RedBlacks joining in 2014. In 1993, it added teams in North America with the Baltimore Stallions being the only team to win the 83rd Grey Cup. In 1995, the league returned to Canada-based teams and has remained like that ever since. A 10th team called the Atlantic Schooners (Halifax,NS) is planned to join in the future, with 2021 being the expected date although team could play in Moncton whilst stadium is being built.
